Teater Tidsrum: Beatrice

Franz Hiller falls in love with Beatrice, an airship at the World Exhibition in Berlin. But since she is a prototype, she is not for sale, and Franz has to make do with buying a copy and moving her into a rented warehouse. At the same time Anna Goldberg falls in love with the magnificent steam engine Hercules, buys him and rents a warehouse, but when she arrives there, the building is already occupied by Franz and his airship. Conflict is brewing but when Franz and Anna realize that they have the same love for machines, they agree to share the space. In the darkness of the warehouse, emotions grow and the stage is set for a tale about a great all-consuming passion and its price. The music is composed especially for this show, some of it
played on the unique Bornholm violin. Without speaking the two puppeteers tell the story of Franz and Anna, creating a poetic and sensual Steampunk universe with shadows, music, recycled mechanical objects and throbbing engines.

Puppeteers: Ida Marie Tjalve and Karina Nielsen. Director: Stephen Tiplady. Scenography and puppets: Sarah Piyannah Cederstrand. Composer: Andreas Busk. Light: Kristine Hamann. Auther: Karin Tidbeck. Consultant: Jette Lund.
