Thalias Kompagnons AND Ensemble Kontraste: The Magic Flute

Two puppeteers give a truly magical performance as they draw the curtain and the story of Prince Tamino, his beloved Pamina, a near-crazy Queen of the Night, and the sadistic Sarastro unfolds. This is a wonderful and humoristic production of Mozart’s opera ‘The Magic Flute’.

The renowned countertenor Daniel Gloger lends his amazingly versatile voice to all of the puppets; a live orchestra of eight musicians on stage guarantees a joyful musical experience.

This ‘Magic Flute’ from Nuremberg is refreshingly different and surprising. Live music is combined with non-traditional puppetry which is projected onto a screen. The puppet manipulation is sublime and the puppets in the style of Paul Klee are full of fun. This is a performance you should not miss.

This performance is supported by Goethe Institut.
